As part of this Modern Workplace Technical Consultant role, you will be involved in engaging with the Modern Workplace Delivery Consulting leads and delivering solutions for medium to enterprise clients. As part of your role you will form strong relationships with the client and colleagues. Given the nature of our Managed Service clients and sectors. Ideally already SC cleared; or with potential to be SC cleared (dependent upon client assignment).

Furthermore, you will:

  • Report into and work under for the Microsoft Platform M365 Technical Architect
  • Provide Technical consulting and delivery of Microsoft services
  • Provide consulting and support client stakeholders regarding high-level investigations into best operations for high-level Microsoft practice
  • Work with the wider team, to ensure Microsoft service are properly configured and maintained to expectations and needs
  • Take part in pre-issue/post-issue reviews, utilising your expertise and up-to-date knowledge to provide root cause analysis.
  • Organise the implementation through constant improvement of information systems, data handing, processes/procedures, organisation and equipment
  • Utilise your excellent communication skills and history of client-communication to ensure customers and internal stakeholders are aware of progress and future plans
  • Ensure you develop yourself through offered training and collaborative forums to stay up-to-date with emerging Microsoft capabilities to ensure you're offering nothing short of excellence 

What you'll be doing:

As a Modern Workplace Consultant, you will be responsible for consulting, input to designs and implementation of the Microsoft stack.  A particular focus on MECM, Intune, and collaboration tools.

This role will resides within NTT DATA Managed Services and will report to the Modern Workplace Architect.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Providing our diverse range of customers with agnostic, industry-leading advice, and expertise to help them select the right technology solutions and make the most of them.
  • Be an ambassador of enhanced user experiences and digital workspace transformation.
  • Support presales opportunities within the Delivery Consulting practice of Modern Workplace.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the Workspace team as well as the wider Solutions group.
  • Produce high quality documentation and contribute to HLDs and SoWs in your subject areas.
  • Support the smooth handover of projects as part of the delivery team and acting as an escalation point to juniors.

What you'll need:

  • 5 years of experience across working in Modern Workplace and EUC.
  • Demonstrable understanding of multiple aspects of Microsoft service, examples include:
    • MECM
    • Intune
    • Active Directory
    • Application Packaging

 

  • Experience of working in a Managed Service environment
  • Experienced in handling RFC (Request For Change) and CCNs (Change Control Notices)
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in an onshore-offshore model is desirable
  • Ability to demonstrate tangible continuous improvement that has been implemented
  • Must be an excellent team player
  • Good documentation abilities are mandatory
  • Experience articulating complex technical matters and presenting in a succinct manner to all levels
  • Highly committed, motivated and self starter – must be able to give himself/herself directions rather than waiting for a steer from above
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of technically experienced resources

Desirable:

  • Degree level education or equivalent
  • Prior experience of working in a multi vendor environment is extremely desirable
