The team you'll be working with:

Tangity, is Part of NTT DATA Design Network, with studios across the globe. We work alongside our colleagues at NTT DATA, to bring together Strategy, Technology and Design. As a Senior Servcie Designer at Tangity, you will play a crucial role throughout the entire project process. You will be part of a high-performing, multi-disciplinary squad using agile methodologies to deliver user-centric services. You will be responsible for ensuring our discovery and design projects are rooted in a deep understanding of users and their needs enabling us to create accessible services that reduce friction and complexity.

You'll be expected to ensure quality, innovation and creativity in how we approach all aspects of service design and how we then play those back to our stakeholders. You’ll be keen to develop your skills and contribute to the wider Tangity community. 

This is a full-time position based in London UK. We are a hybrid team and visit the office twice a week. In some cases clients may have policies which require us to be onsite at other locations.

Tangity supports work in the public sector and the successful candidate will need to be willing to go through the process. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan write and present plans that outline study goals and methodology
  • Map complex services and user journeys to ensure clear, actionable insights
  • Visualize through diagramming, journey mapping, storyboarding, or information design to helping others see the end-to-end and surface-to-core service and customer experience. (Yes this is the ‘unique’ item in the role description!)
  • Analyse both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and interpret user behaviour and create and actionable recommendations
  • Synthesise findings using appropriate tools and work closely with cross-functional teams to translate them into user stories
  • Facilitate workshops, co-design sessions, managing stakeholder relationships across different levels and be able to articulate complex design concepts and through storytelling, evidence, and design artifacts
  • Present actionable insights and learnings to stakeholders in the most appropriate way, including presentations, communicating with clarity and confidence to create actionable strategic insights and service improvements
  • Promote awareness of user research practices, influencing project roadmaps and expanding user-centred design
  • Evolve and innovate the Service Design and Research practice, pulling in state-of-the-art methods from external and internal expertise.
  • Contribute and support the development of the practive, enabling quality research services and the growth of the user research community

What experience you'll bring:

  • Willing to get security clearance (have uninterrupted residency in the UK for the past 5 years and ideally be a British Passport Holder)
  • Future-focused and curious about innovation
  • 8+ years experience
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • Significant career history in Service Design
  • Business fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Experince managing relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders 
  • Experience of using user-centred design methods and practices
  • Experience of working as a solo Servcie Designer
  • Experience of bringing insights and learnings to life for a range of stakeholders
  • Experince with accessibility standards

  • Exposure to GDS / service standard
  • Exposure to projects within the public sector
