What you'll be doing:

The objective of the project is to deliver the changes required in the bank to ensure the bank complies with the upcoming regulatory initiatives such as CFTC and EMIR rewrite.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysis of regulatory requirements and lead the analysis of a subset of the capability extension within the Regulatory Programme of work. This will require analysis of business and functional requirements, drafting user acceptance test scenarios, business process definition and business user training.

The successful candidate will have had experience with previous transaction reporting regulatory initiatives (e.g CFTC, EMIR, MAS, CSA or SFTR); will be a delivery focused and technically acute with front to back system in scope for a regulatory reporting programme. Transaction reporting knowledge is necessary with a high focus on the regulatory reporting tool and integration with external Trade Repositories. This role will also require close interaction with various stakeholders across the firm.

  • Develop and maintain scope and business requirement documentation for the capability extension they are responsible for.
  • Conduct In-depth gap analysis of the impacted processes and underlying systems to produce functional specifications for changes.
  • Lead analysis workstream and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Data sourcing activities in relation to the above
  • Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrix as evidence of regulatory compliance
  • Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes
  • Interact with various technology and architecture teams to detail functional changes and solution design
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, work-stream meetings and effectively produce required materials
  • Identify risk and issues impacting the capability they are delivering, prepare mitigation tactics, and escalate as appropriate
  • Manage any associated business process changes as a result of the regulatory initiative.
  • Support RtB teams with project handover and training requirements.
  • Engage with external vendors
  • Write and contribute to test cases and the testing phase as required, including performing hands on test activities.
  • Contribute to release planning and management activities as and when required
  • Work with business teams for requirement and technology team for delivery of requirements
  • Liaise with and communicate progress to the programme / project manager.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Experience acting as BA on the “end to end” delivery of a business capability.
  • Previous experience of Derivatives Reform - EMIR, MAS, Dodd-Frank, CSA or SFTR
  • Good understanding of Trade and Transaction reporting.
  • Competent in more than one asset class with a specific understanding of OTC Derivatives and SFTs
  • Extensive Investment Banking experience
  • Experience as a Technical, Business, Systems or Functional Analyst
  • Experience with DTCC trade repository is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and regulations with experience of trade flows / systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Experience with testing, planning and execution.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • JIRA and confluence experience
  • Knowledge of front to back trade flows (desirable)
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to network and develop relationships (both internal and external)
  • Worked with Agile teams and methodologies.
  • SQL skills
  • XML/FPML
