The team you'll be working with:

The Compensation Manager will be joining our People & Culture Team for a 12-months FTC.  You will develop and oversee the compensation programs, ensuring they align with NTT DATA UK&I strategic objectives and comply with legal requirements.

Partnering with Global and Regional Compensation teams, design and implement competitive compensation structures, conducting market research, and analysing compensation trends.

The Compensation Manager will also provide expert guidance on compensation-related matters, support the People and Culture team, and manage compensation projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and implement compensation strategies that support NTT DATA UK&I goals and objectives. Ensure compensation programs are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Design, evaluate, and modify compensation programs, as well as develop and implement new bonus or incentive plans.
  • Manage the annual salary review process, ensuring fair and equitable salary adjustments and collaborate with managers and People & Culture to ensure salary reviews are conducted effectively.
  • Conduct salary surveys and analyse compensation data to identify trends, assess competitiveness, and make recommendations for adjustment as well as benchmark compensation programs against industry standards.
  • Act as a business partner/consultant to the P&C (People & Culture) community on Total Rewards related matters and Provide guidance and support to wider business on compensation-related matters.
  • Ensure appropriate training and communication materials are developed as needed
  • Collaborate with People & Culture team to integrate compensation programs with performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs in motivating and retaining employees.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the compensation budget as well as reports and presentations on compensation trends, program effectiveness, and recommendations.
  • Lead and participate in compensation-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor market trends and best practices related to all reward programs including compensation, benefits and other
  • Ensure reward programs are compliant with regulation and local legislation as required
  • Ensure adherence to regional and global compensation programs including base salary, annual incentive, and long-term programs
  • Provide consultation to P&C BPs and management as it relates to hires, promotions, job levelling, incentive plans, etc.
  • Maintain compensation structure including ongoing evaluation of jobs to ensure market competitive
  • Identify appropriate compensation surveys to be utilized and participate in
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Development and execution of employee wellness initiatives

 

What experience you'll bring:

  • Solid 5-7 years of hands-on industry specific hands-on experience 
  • Compensation Program Management: Experience in administering and managing compensation programs, including job evaluation, market pricing, salary structure design, and pay-for-performance models. Demonstrates a solid understanding of compensation fundamentals and best practices

  • Support for Senior Leadership: Ability to support the Head of People Services by providing accurate compensation data, analysis, and recommendations. Works closely with leadership and HR teams to ensure alignment of compensation initiatives with organisational goals.

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret compensation data. Capable of identifying trends and providing meaningful insights to support compensation decisions, salary benchmarking, and market competitiveness.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: A proactive and resourceful approach to resolving day-to-day compensation issues. Able to apply critical thinking to recommend practical and effective solutions to compensation challenges in a global environment.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to present compensation information clearly and effectively to managers and employees. Builds positive relationships with P&C partners and business leaders to support compensation initiatives.

  • Understanding of Compensation Regulations: Familiarity with compensation laws and regulations across UK&I ensuring compliance with local legal requirements. Keeps up-to-date with changes in compensation policies and practices.

  • Collaboration and Teamwork: A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team. Supports collaboration between P&C, finance, and other departments to ensure compensation practices align with overall business objectives.

  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills: Highly organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities. Ensures accuracy in compensation data, reporting, and project deliverables.

  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive compensation data. Understands the importance of discretion in managing confidential employee and compensation information.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Able to use data analysis tools to manage and report on compensation data, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in compensation processes.
