What you'll be doing:
We are looking for an experienced, pragmatic, personable and talented Enterprise Architect to help support our rapid growth. Domain-wise, you will be operating across all UK Banking segments (Retail, Corporate, Capital Markets), supporting the delivery of digital, data and technology services. You will be working closely with our technology service lines and Banking industry specialists to develop solutions and offerings to ensure we deliver meaningful business outcomes for our Banking clients. .
You will ideally have technical knowledge and experience Banking Industry, specifically related to Retail, Corporate & Capital Markets (at least one segment but preferably two).
Whilst we have multiple assignments in-flight with different team composition, in the main you will be working closely with account leads, industry SMEs and solution architects to shape the solutions, proposals in pre-sales capacity and will support delivery leads alongside Data, Security, Business Architects and Analysts/Consultants.
The approach we take uses Agile when executing, demonstrating progress and seeking feedback though a series of sprints. The work will look to bring insight and guidance to delivery teams or decision makers on enterprise & technology architecture, technology selection and delivery approach.
You will be market aware and able to provide balanced opinion on future technology direction whilst being pragmatic in the need to align to existing capabilities and work within the guard rails defined by the Banking domain Reference Architecture.
What you'll need:
You will have strong Enterprise architecture experience with a good understanding of digital technologies (cloud, data, digital engineering), along with;
- Experience working within an architectural framework (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
- Delivery with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), such as with Archimate and Sparx EA
- Knowledge and appreciation of BIAN
- Experience is at least one Banking market (Retail, Corporate, Capital Markets), preferably two
- Experience of Banking regulatory landscape (RegTech) & common services like Payments, AML etc.
- Broad expertise of some Banking platform technologies such as Temenos, Finastra, Murex, Calypso etc.. and wider technologies, such as integration and messaging services, ERP, CRM, data architecture, online / digital services and be familiar with market research and emerging technology approaches
- The ability to spot and address common themes and architecturally significant concerns
- Excellent communication skills and strengths in producing high quality and accurate documentation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Adept in using a range of influencing styles to building strong sustainable relationships
