What you'll be doing:

As a Service Design Lead, you'll become a point of reference in our studio and manage all aspects of a project: business, client relationship, team, design approach, methodology and contribute to the commercial success of the project.  

You'll be a prominent client contact from the early stages, supporting the Client account team in developing and leading trustworthy relationships with clients.

  • Design, scope, and research (ethnographic & human-centred) processes, insight gathering, critical thinking, concept generation and validation
  • Create key deliverables (i.e., research output, detailed user journeys, service blueprint, system map, stakeholder map, storyboards, scenarios, interaction models, wireframes & prototypes for complex systems, and testing plan)
  • Manage the project budget and timelines, with help from PM’s where appropriate
  • Collaborate with cross-departments to produce high-quality work
  • Manage multiple stakeholders' needs, interests, priorities, and expectations effectively and sensitively
  • Help clients and stakeholders to better frame design challenges
  • Mentoring Design team

What experience you'll bring:

  • Design services and experiences within (or for) a large organisation
  • Strong team and stakeholder management
  • Strong presentation skills, the ability to articulate design intent to project teams and stakeholders
  • Work independently to deliver a project from start to finish
  • Be an ambassador for the value of design for clients
  • Ability to design, plan and facilitate workshops
  • Curious about modern technology and how to leverage it to create better user experiences
  • Future-focused and curious about innovation
  • Be a great teammate – muck-in, support and ‘have the backs’ of your teammates
