What you'll be doing:

As a Network Infrastructure Designer, you will be integral to the delivery of many client projects, working with Tier 1 global telecommunication organisations. 

You will have responsibility for gathering requirements from stakeholders, assessing business impacts from proposed network changes, and creating/tailoring designs accordingly. 

What you'll need:

Ideally, you'll have experience with some of the following: 

  • Knowledge of the telecommunications business and experience of designing Data Centre and Enterprise networks
  • Developing and aligning to Enterprise network strategies
  • Experience of translating business requirements into detailed DC and network requirements
  • Familiarity with all parts of the project lifecycle from project scoping to delivery and implementation
  • Communicating technical issues and solutions on different (management) levels
  • Aligning and reviewing the detailed design(s) in cooperation with suppliers on behalf of our clients
  • Experience presenting/defending changes in CAB meetings

 

We expect knowldge/experience of some of the following areas:

  • An understanding of infrastructure and the impact of network changes 
  • Eperience in HLD and LLDs 

Networks:

  • Cisco OR Juniper expertise (certifications such as CCDP & CCNP R&S/SP/DC a bonus) 
  • Ideally a telco/service provider background
  • Firewalls (you may have experience incorporating ASAs, Fortigates or CheckPoint into your designs, for example)  
  • Loadbalancing (F5 or Citrix Netscaler knowledge/experience) 
  • Knowledge of public and private cloud (AWS/Azure, VPCs, network connectivity)
