About you:

As a Project Manager at NTT DATA UK, you will bring proven experience of leading end-to-end large-scale (£5m+) Central Government programmes encompassing significant Client-side/collaborative elements in a multi-vendor environment and solid stakeholder management skills, copuled with the ability to drive quick, informed decisions and to deliver difficult news in a factual, solution-driven way. 

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to show awareness of security concepts relevant to the Central Government domain and to be confident working with Central Government processes and methods, including the GDS Service Standard and Technical Code of Practice.

The role requires your in-depth understanding and experience of project planning processes, techniques and methodologies in multi-disciplinary and commercial environments. It would be a great asset for you to have a Project Management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, etc.) and/or an Agile certification. 

 

*You should hold current SC level security clearance. If this is not currently held, then you should be willing and eligible to be put through the vetting process

What to expect:

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery of complex cross functional business change project(s) that includes people, process, policy and technical change, through to completion that meets the business needs, with Investment Committee approved budget between £1m - £10m for any one project​. 

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Change Leadership, e.g. Management of project escalation  |  Continuously review and identify opportunities to implement change towards business transformation goals​
  • Requirements Definition, e.g. Work with the business owner and work stream leads to shape a strategy or concept into an implementable project |  Work with the Key Programme Manager to help to establish a benefits map ​
  • Planning, e.g. Develops and gains agreement of project plan  |  Ensure that the appropriate resources are allocated to the project working with PMO Services on resource planning and prioritisation​
  • Project Control and Reporting, e.g. Manages virtual project teams in a matrix environment  |  Implements and maintains a consistent project management methodology ensuring project conforms to appropriate governance including all project documentation 
  • And much more, such as Financial Management, Governance and Stakeholder Mangaement, and People and Line Management
