The team you'll be working with:
We are looking for an Azure MVP to become our Director for Azure App Modernisation. In this role, you will lead our efforts in guiding clients through their cloud transformation journey, focusing on modernising applications using Microsoft Azure. This role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, and client engagement to facilitate the transition from legacy systems to innovative, cloud-native solutions.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the Azure App Modernisation focus group, aligning with client needs and business objectives.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, including providing inputs to technical solution approaches and estimations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for application modernisation, adopting the latest Azure technologies and industry best practices.
- Manage and guide a team of Azure app architects and app engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored Azure solutions.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure cloud-based applications, meeting time and budget constraints.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development within the team, ensuring they are at the forefront of Azure technologies.
- Collaborate with other practices to align modernisation efforts, leading end-to-end native solutions covering all Azure services and capabilities.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new Azure features and capabilities, staying ahead in a rapidly evolving cloud landscape.
- Monitor and report on the progress of modernisation projects, ensuring transparency and alignment with client expectations and company objectives.
- Get involved in local community events.
What experience you'll bring:
- Microsoft Azure MVP (4+ years)
- Proficient understanding of application development principles, focusing on guiding teams in implementing effective Azure solutions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring diverse technical teams.
- Excellent client management abilities, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable Azure modernisation strategies and plans.
- Proven consultancy skills, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record in fostering collaboration and driving project success in a consultancy environment.
- Excellent people management skills, including effectively motivating, developing, and directing team members.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a consultancy or project-based environment.
- Skilled in conflict management and effective communication across various levels of an organisation.
- Track record of successful team management and project delivery in a fast-paced and evolving landscape.
