What you'll be doing:

The Financial Accountant role will be UK based with reporting to the Finance Manager. The role will be carried out based our “work where it works” policy, giving the flexibility to work from home, with the option to work from the office when it necessary or beneficial.

 

NTT Data UK Limited is in the process of absorbing its sister company via a legal integration. Alongside this process, the business is overhauling its internal IT architecture and ERP. The role will be focused on supporting core compliance and month-end activities, and other key business processes on the Company during this period of significant change.

As Financial Accountant you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA qualified, or an equivalent professional affiliation), either through industry or practice, and 2 - 3 year minimum post qualified experience. You will possess strong relationship building skills with staff from multiple finance functions both in the UK, Spain and our offshore service centers in India to ensure timely and accurate information.

  • This role will be suitable for someone seeking a minimum 12 month temporary engagement and is able to quickly and reliably pick up key financial accounting activities with limited supervision.
  • Completion of statutory reporting obligations, including acting as a key liaison for the audit process
  • Supporting our Offshore teams with month-end and quarter end requirements, including reviewing of reporting, reconciliations and journals
  • Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of VAT filings and compliance obligations in multiple jurisdictions
  • Assisting with quarterly tax calculation and supporting our external tax advisers with the corporation tax computations in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with tax various tax governance processes
  • Supporting the business with key aspects of our purchase to pay function and order to cash functions, including supplier due diligence and monitoring of debtors
  • Weekly cash flow analysis and monitoring
  • Supporting the business in providing financial information for bid work
  • Ad hoc support on ERP transition/integration activities and providing financial accounting

What you'll need:

  • 2 - 3 years post qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
  • IFRS trained and experience of reporting accounts on an IFRS basis, including a working knowledge of IFRS 15
  • Experience in preparing statutory accounts under IFRS based framework
  • Strong fundamental accounting skills
  • Experience of working with various aspects of tax compliance
  • Strong work ethic – must be comfortable handling multiple competing priorities and taking responsibility for their work to a high standard and deadlines.
  • Strong Excel / financial analytical skills including the ability to provide clear, meaningful commentary
  • Excellent attention to detail, efficient and organized
  • Be able to manage tasks with limited supervision
  • Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience working in large organization accounting software package. SAP would be an advantage
