The team you'll be working with:

The team that you’ll be working with:

You’ll be joining a small, close-knit UK-based remote team with a reputation for being supportive and approachable. During this maternity cover role, you’ll receive consistent guidance and assistance to ensure a smooth onboarding and a well-supported experience throughout your time with us.

What you'll be doing:

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be hands-on with EngageOne Designer, building and maintaining dynamic customer communications within the utilities space that meet precise business and technical specs. From designing correspondence templates to implementing them in production-ready formats, you’ll ensure everything is scalable, standards-compliant, and delivered on time. You’ll execute robust test cases using varied data sets to validate both logic and layout, ensuring outputs align with business rules and formatting requirements.

You’ll also manage and update pre-process scripts and EngageOne configuration files, and package releases for deployment across UAT and production environments. Documentation won’t be an afterthought—you’ll contribute to and maintain functional specs and internal technical docs to keep everything aligned and transparent.

On the email side, you’ll also design and implement templates that meet branding and delivery standards.

You’ll manage your workflow in JIRA Cloud, following agile processes, logging updates clearly, and keeping stakeholders informed. When bugs or live issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently, using your understanding of the EngageOne ecosystem and related tools.

This role is ideal if you enjoy working across the full development lifecycle, thrive in a structured yet agile environment, and are comfortable owning your work from design through to deployment.

What experience you'll bring:

What experience you’ll bring:

You’ll bring hands-on experience with EngageOne Designer or similar document composition tools, and some exposure to graphic design software. You’re comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and have experience managing and updating configuration files or batch scripts. You understand how to work with structured input data—such as pipe-delimited formats—and can map data effectively to drive dynamic content. A solid grasp of programming concepts and Agile methodologies will help you thrive in this environment.

You are familiar with the fundamentals of HTML and CSS, having gained some hands-on experience and you’re not afraid to manipulate images or graphics when needed.

You’re confident using Microsoft Office tools—especially Teams, Word, and Excel—to collaborate and communicate effectively.

You’re a self-starter who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and manages your workload with precision. Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and a sharp eye for detail are second nature to you. You’re also comfortable working under pressure and delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
