You will have experience of supporting IT infrastructure or a strong background in EUC support and should be able to demonstrate technical knowledge of Microsoft Server, VMware, Hyper-V and Public Cloud (Azure) technologies gained in in a hands-on technical support role, preferably with exposure to IT Infrastructure technologies in enterprise-level deployments.
Working knowledge of any of the following technologies - O365, Exchange, VDI, Unix/Linux or Enterprise Backup and Storage platforms would be beneficial, as would any experience in creating or modifying scripts (Eg. Powershell).
Demonstrated knowledge of distributed file systems, network protocols, and data storage applications.
The role requires you to have the ability to troubleshoot incidents and problems. Any experience of working in a large multi-client solution provider would be advantageous and you should be prepared to provide out-of-hours support as required or on a rota basis.
Any certification from major vendors (Microsoft, VMware etc.) is desirable.
Although not mandatory, an ITIL certification and experience of working within the framework would certainly be preferred.
This role is expected to provide BAU operational support across a wide range of customer infrastructure, including health checks and reporting in parallel with managing incidents, problems, requests and changes in line with ITIL best practice and ensuring that SLA's are maintained.
