Power BI Infrastructure Management:
- Design, implement, and manage the Power BI infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
- Oversee the administration of Power BI environments, including gateways, capacity planning, and workspace management.
- Implement best practices for Power BI deployment, including data governance, security configurations, and compliance requirements.
Development and Design:
- Develop complex Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimise Power BI data models for performance and scalability.
System Integration:
- Integrate Power BI with various data sources and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
- Implement and manage data refresh schedules, ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI-related issues.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimise downtime.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity and system security.
Training and Mentoring:
- Train and mentor junior developers and business users on Power BI best practices and usage.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including system architecture, data models, and process workflows.
What experience you'll bring:
We are seeking a Senior Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Data Consumption area, specifically in Power BI development, and a deep understanding of Power BI infrastructure, administration, and system integration. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a passion for data visualisation and analytics.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Power BI architecture, including Power BI Service, Power BI Report Server, and Power BI Desktop.
- Strong experience with DAX, Power Query, and M language.
- Proficient in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
