What you'll be doing:

As part of this role, your day to day might include some of the following: 


  • Monitoring the HR inbox for incoming employee queries and helping to resolve cases.
  • Managing the entire life-cycle of the employment journey, from onboarding into the company to offboarding out, with a real focus on ensuring every colleague has a streamlined and positive experience.
  • Providing guidance and support on Employee Relations and Case Management. This will involve managing individual cases from start to finish with guidance from the HR Manager where necessary.
  • Advising line managers and employees of our policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and contributing to the development of all HR policies and helping to ensure these are in line with current legislation and best practices.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes. 
  • Providing accurate and detailed People-related data and reporting - this includes taking a proactive approach with the data we have, ensuring we effectively monitor any trends which may require support.
  • Participating in HR Projects, programmes and activities.
  • Assisting the payroll department by providing relevant employee information.

What you'll need:

  • Previous and demonstrable work experience in a busy and varied HR Generalist or Advisor role.
  • Good knowledge of employment legislation and best practice HR guidance.
  • Experience in owning and advising on a range of Employee Relations matters end-to-end.
  • Great attention to detail and well-organised.
  • Ability to deal with confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Be a clear communicator, both written and verbal, and enjoy building strong relationships within the business, with key stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, for example).
  • Preferably CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards qualification.
