What you'll be doing:

As a QA Lead/Tester you will coordinate test activities for the Agile Squad and depending on the size of the project, you may work on more than one project at a given time. Your role will include gathering and documenting test objectives and mitigating actions in the test strategy and overseeing testing throughout the lifecycle of the product.

As a QA Lead/Tester you will work within a Squad and own the QA Plan, Test Scripts, Test Cases, Defects and all testing activity through to delivery.

In order to deliver value for your squad, you'll need to be comfortable and confident to discuss and agree your squads requirements with other members of the Squad and across other Squads for End to End testing. These conversations will require you to be able to influence yet also appreciate other requirements of the business.  

  •  Manage End to End test activity and process across squads, when multiple integrations and suppliers are required
  •  Support squads with Environments, Data and Issues which need supplier ownership or wider resolutions
  •  Manage and own test issues within End to End testing activity, reporting blockers and progress metrics
  •  Proactively engages with Stakeholders and 3rd party suppliers to develop end-to-end testing tools, processes aligned to agreed business requirements
  •  Collaborate with squad members to ensure User Stories are testable, by scoping and estimating effort needed
  •  Design and execute test cases, using automation tools where possible to test the functionality developed meets the required acceptance criteria as detailed in User Stories
  •  Assist in automating, maintaining and updating regression test pack and knowledge sharing within a project and across wider QA teams
  •  Work along the rest of the team (Devs/QA/Scrum Master/BA) during the sprint and follow team processes and ceremonies

What you'll need:

  • Demonstrable experience working in the Telecoms Industry, or a similar IT-based role.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager in Software Testing
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Prince2 Foundation or Project Management skills
  • Technical background, including experience with one or more of: self-care systems, webservices, billing, hardened APIs, eCommerce and retail systems
  • Good communications skills, with the ability to explain the impact of different options or issues to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions across multiple supplier platforms and impacting on multiple stakeholders, in a timely fashion and with minimal post-live issues.
  • Management and usage of Industry standard test tools, HP ALM, Jira etc.
