About you:

As we grow our UK advisory practice, we are looking for a Consulting Lead to build the commercial and capability development of our activities in the Public Services business unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to mix delivery, sales, client and stakeholder management, and the ability to craft consulting solutions across strategy (business and technology), transformation and design.

As the industry Consulting Lead you will have experience in Public Services gained within a consulting organisation, with experience of working with Central Government and Health clients.

You will share a passion for design concepts, innovative ideas and thrive in an environment that embraces collaboration with clients, internal teams and partners to design and deliver solutions that will make an impact to our clients and the lives of citizens.

Your time will be split between billable work and sales activity, working within multi-skilled teams and under your own initiative, often in challenging but highly awarding environments.

You will be accountable for growing the revenues and margin from our consulting and design teams with our Public Services clients through shaping propositions and proposals specific to our clients’ and broader industry needs. You will work with the Client Partners to build relationships at senior levels in our clients’ organisations and help us to become their trusted advisor.

You will work with the Impact Practice Leads to build on our core solutions and services, and to grow our Public Services skills within each of the practices. You will work with the Practice Leads to identify and recruit industry skills to meet the needs of our advisory projects.

You will demonstrate our Public Services industry point of view through delivering thought leadership both externally (conferences, whitepapers, blogs, etc.) and internally.

What's important?:

  • 10+ years of work experience in management, technical, creative or business consulting companies with recent, personal responsibility for leading the growth of a practice, team or capability
  • 5+ years of experience in consulting, strategy or digital transformation projects in the Public Services market
  • Knowledge and of digital business processes, key trends and Public Services value drivers
  • Experience as a trusted advisor and creating long-term relationships with clients or internal customers and used to engaging at CxO level
  • Experience in the management of the life cycle of a consulting project from opportunity identification, to scoping, developing the offer and, ultimately, delivering. The ability to shape new business opportunities or to land-and-expand through delivery are equally valuable
  • Ability to collaborate in virtual commercial and delivery teams to develop proposals, propositions and practice capability
  • Dedication to mentoring, building and leading high performing teams.
    • Identify industry capability gaps and work with the Impact Practice Leads to determine our build/ buy strategy and agree associated recruitment/ training plans to address based on sales forecasts for existing and new capability opportunities


  1. Promote Impact and the value of consulting/ advisory work internally and externally
    • Build the brand of NTT DATA Impact in the market, with our clients and internally within the UK, NTT DATA, everis and the wider NTT business
    • Deliver internal and external content/ insight/ PR to support our Public Services Impact  propositions
    • Build strong links with the Insurance practices in other NTT DATA EMEA and everis OpCos to share propositions/ capabilities/ expertise/ credentials
