About you:
As a Technical Project Manager at NTT DATA UK,will have a thorough understanding of how to define, manage and control IT projects and will have demonstrable experience of managing IT projects throughout their lifecycle and will be able to think strategically whilst maintaining a good grasp of detail.
The role requires your ability to understand the technology, high level architecture, design and requirements and to coordinate activities across multiple teams (onshore and offshore), including third party suppliers. Experience managing DWH and Java applications projects will also be a huge advantage as it will allow you to work independently and not rely excessively on the technical SMEs.
Solid Insurance experience and an understanding of the London Market landscape will be highly beneficial to succeed in this role.
What to expect:
In this role, you will manage technology-driven projects and transformations across various areas, including Data, Applications, Automation, and more. You will be responsible for defining and controlling plans and budgets, managing risks, and ensuring solutions adhere to IT strategy and principles of good project governance. Alongside this, the role holder will need to build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships, including managing external suppliers and working closely with both Business and IT departments.
You will be responsible for:
- Manage small project budgets, e.g. a central project budget up to £1m
- Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
- Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
- Manage all aspects of risk, issues and contingency and identify dependencies with other business initiatives / activities
- Operate Project continuous improvement via Lessons learnt and post implementation review mechanisms
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, senior directors and key stakeholders.
