The Role

NTT DATA UK are hiring a Project Manager to work across our Public Sector Client accounts. We are growing our Project Management capability due to increased demand from our clients. We support our customer on Digital transformation projects across multiple sectors (Telco Media, Insurance, Manufacturing and Automotive). This role would be ideal for someone who has delivered end-to-end projects in a multi-vendor environment and has developed solid stakeholder skills with the ability to drive quick, informed decisions and to deliver difficult news. Experience in managing Central Government projects would be preferred, but we are excited to chat to talented Project Managers with experience across Public Sector.

The Opportunity

  • Maintains and complies with KPIs for project delivery and efficiency (EVM, CPI/SPI, timely reporting, etc.)​
  • Develops and gains agreement to project plan; provides regular progress reports to key stakeholders​
  • Operates effective project controls employing effective Risk, Issue and Dependency management​
  • Determines, procures and manages appropriate resources to deliver the project (functional or divisional team and a small number of third parties) ​
  • Manages all project level communications​
  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple project risks dealing with uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward looking​

The Person

  • Awareness of security concepts relevant to the Central Government domain.
  • Confident working with Central Government processes and methods, including the GDS Service Standard and Technical Code of Practice.
  • Understanding and point of view regarding the current and future trends impacting Central Government.
  • Significant experience of portfolio / project management in a multi- disciplined and commercial environment​
  • Advanced knowledge and demonstrable experience of portfolio / project planning processes, techniques and methodologies​
  • Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills​
  • Owns and manages resolution of escalated project/programme issues​
  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple project risks dealing with uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward looking​
  • Detailed knowledge of strategic business objectives and drivers and complex organisational designs and structures, and how this relates to portfolio being managed​
