What you'll be doing:

As Delivery Director for Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences, your role is key to driving the design and execution of profitable, professional, digital service delivery.  You will successfully bring together the different service capabilities on behalf of the client and NTT Data.  

You will report to the industry Head of Delivery, working closely with client partners, and be the face of the delivery organisation for the client portfolio that you represent.

You will be accountable for the creation and implementation of the delivery strategy and plan for the customer account/ portfolio of accounts, ensuring that current and future needs of the clients are met and exceeded, for all services provided to the client by NTT Data. You will ensure customer satisfaction is achieved,  while meeting and exceeding the revenue and margin targets set for the client account.

The delivery strategy will include elements of workforce planning, succession planning, capability development, partnership establishment in accordance with the needs of the customer and industry objectives. 

In the execution of that strategy and the role, the delivery director will work with the relevant parts of the NTT data organisation to ensure that account demands are well understood and anticipated by the service lines/capability groups.  This includes all sources of supply both permanent, contract and third party service, in a holistic operational view.  This relationship will drive both short medium and long term planning.

You will also play an active part in coherent development of the delivery capability in the organisation. The role provides effective delivery governance and assurance for their own portfolio, as well as providing independent assurance across peer delivery director portfolios in accordance with the policy and providing appropriate quality and capability according to services being provided.

The delivery director will be responsible, as required, for the transition management of incoming services, the on-boarding of new delivery resources to the account teams, and in certain cases the transition out in case of exit and closure of services.

You will be a true leader, leading distributed teams (nearshore, offshore, third party partnerships) to ensure services are delivered to the client and play an active role in attracting, interviewing, recruiting and hiring of new talent for the portfolio and service lines.

You will also shape the current and future talent of the capability by coaching, identifying and nurturing existing talent within the organisation and collaborate with other Delivery Directors within the organisation to ensure consistency in the implementation of this approach.

As Delivery Director, you will have highly developed commercial acumen to ensure that operational services meet the client expectations balanced with the company expectations of profitability, delivery risk and professional execution of services.  This will include the oversight and development of statements of work for various commercial delivery models including fixed price as well as time and materials, in agile and traditional environments. You will actively support business development within services working with the client partner.

What you'll need:

You will also have;

  • 10+ years of relevant experience (in IT professional services within a global organisation), including 7+ years management and leadership experience in the domain.  May also bring industry vertical experience from client-side roles as well as working within the client domain.
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing and managing the most complex accounts.
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives driving delivery outcomes.
  • Expert priority setting skills as they relate to strategic direction of client and industry.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead large functional (including global) teams.
  • Ability to drive quality and productivity within teams.
  • Expert analytical and problem solving, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate, direct and lead large groups at all levels in the organisation
  • Extensive experience of managing very large internal teams and third party relationships across geographies /industries, successfully achieving customer satisfaction levels.
  • Expert ability to implement delivery transformation programmes to re-engineer delivery cost models.
