What you'll be doing:

The Financial Accountant role will be London based with reporting to the Finance Manager. The role will be carried out based our “work where it works” policy, giving the flexibility to work from home, with the option to work from the office when it necessary or beneficial.

You will be working predominantly within the Everis UK (“Green”) side of the business, but will support where needed on tasks within the NTT Data UK (“Blue”) side. This will include supporting core compliance and month-end activities as we move towards full legal integration, as well as helping with integration and IT transition activities where necessary.

As Financial Accountant you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA qualified, or an equivalent professional affiliation), preferably with experience in an audit practice, and 2 years’ minimum post qualified experience. You will possess strong relationship building skills with staff from multiple finance functions both in the UK, Spain and our offshore service centers in LATAM and India to ensure timely and accurate information.

  • Responsibility of the completion of the statutory financial statements and annual report, including managing the audit process through to sign-off of the financial statements
  • Completing core monthly financial close activities, including managing prepayments, payroll, accruals and fixed asset journals in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with Group close timetable
  • Overseeing and remediating monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting process of tidying the balance sheet prior to integration
  • Supporting with Group reporting obligations, including completion of key reporting schedules
  • Completion of quarterly tax calculation and liaison with the external tax advisers for the corporation tax computations.
  • Ad hoc business and accounting support for the Green finance function, including purchase to pay and record to report
  • Play a key part to the success of the integration project with Blue spanning various workstreams
  • Key stakeholder to the various systems changes and migration to a new ERP under the blue entity.

What you'll need:

  • 2+ years post qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Audit trained from a reputable audit firm.
  • IFRS trained and experience of reporting accounts on an IFRS basis
  • Strong fundamental accounting skills;
  • Experience of working in a tax environment
  • Strong work ethic – must be comfortable handling multiple projects and workstreams and taking responsibility for their work to a high standard and deadlines.
  • Strong Excel / financial analytical skills including the ability to provide clear, meaningful commentary
  • Ability to adapt as needed to a changing business and manage uncertainty/ambiguity
  • Excellent attention to detail, efficient and organized
  • Be able to manage tasks with limited supervision
  • Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a SAP based ERP environment (not a requirement)
