As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for an Cloud Native Applications Engineer to join our Cloud team in London.
What you'll be doing:
Cloud & Digital Architecture, part of Digital Strategy&Technology is NTT DATA’s solutions and datacentre modernisation and transformation unit. Our Mission is to escape the legacy and accelerate business value delivery and innovation, providing a holistic approach with multidisciplinary teams across Architecture, Engineering, Platforms and DevOps. Technology is our passion and at the core of what we have to offer. In consequence, we focus on technologies that are changing the world across the different industries we operate and how they can be applied.
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Applications Engineer to join our Cloud & Digital Architecture Team. You have at least 5 years' hands-on experience in software development and at least 2 years' experience in cloud native application development and/or technical architecture. Application Modernisation experience would be a plus. Additionally, you have a strong background in software development, with proficiency in at least one strongly typed programming language such as C#, Java, and experience working with Cloud, being able to design, develop, and deploy Cloud Native Applications for Azure, AWS or GCP
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Cloud Native Applications in Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the applications are designed and developed to be scalable, secure, and highly available.
- Work with the team to establish best practices for cloud native application development and operation
- Identify opportunities for improvement in application design and development, and implement solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers in the team.
- Identify, promote and lead the adoption of new trends and technologies, and best practices in cloud native application development and architecture.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the overall solution align with the architecture and strategy defined for each client/project.
What you'll need:
- Strong background in software development with proficiency in at least one strongly typed programming language, such as C# or Java.
- Experience developing Cloud Native Applications for any major Cloud vendor: Azure, AWS or GCP
- Strong understanding of cloud native concepts, such as containerisation, microservices, event-driven or streaming.
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Basic understanding of Platform concepts and technologies, such as CI/CD Pipelines or Infrastructure As Code
