As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a Data Governance Specialist to join our Data & Analytics team in London.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support client partners and practice leads in pre-sales activities
  • Act as a go-to practitioner and enable customers with data governance knowledge by advocating top-down approach to align business and technology to drive business value
  • Input into the shaping of Data Governance/ Management engagements
  • Deliver Data Governance/ Management implementation projects with/ for our clients
  • Support the education of the wider Data & Intelligence practice in the field of Data Governance/ Management

What you'll need:

  • Good level of understanding on DAMA Knowledge Areas and Data Governance Framework.  CDMP certification would be a plus.
  • Ability to understand and align key business drivers to establish and promote robust data governance practice.
  • Understanding of the People, Process and Operating Model requirements to support successful Data Governance/ Management solutions.
  • Industry knowledge and experience in implementing regulatory and compliance use cases i.e., GDPR, PCI-DSS, ESG.
  • Ability to articulate the purpose and value of Data Governance/ Management to business stakeholders.
  • Must be able to interface with and manage relationships with business people and technologists at a variety of levels showing competence in both areas.
  • Understanding stakeholder pain points to identify high-value use cases for futuristic roadmap
  • Excellent understanding of data governance operating model, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Business Glossary Design, data discovery and classification for Critical data elements. 
  • Mapping data categories to agreed business terms and models
  • Functional knowledge of Conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Practical experience in implementing at least one data governance tool i.e., Informatica Axon/EDC, Collibra. Experience and understanding of master/reference data management.
  • Solid understanding of Data Quality life cycle and principles with the ability to understand data quality management, monitoring, and reporting requirements. Experience with Data quality tool would be valuable
  • Exposure in Cloud Data platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP to design practical governance framework. Understanding of most popular data management tools such as oracle, SQLServer, big data, Snowflake etc.
