What you'll be doing:

The Business Manager acts as the deputy to the Head of Insurance and is responsible for driving the day-to-day operational running of the BU in line with the BU plan and associated financial targets.  This includes performing key approvals (under delegated authority) including bid sign on/sign out, work at risk and prioritisation calls within the BU. It also includes overall management of the BU pipeline, ensuring accurate financial forecasting and resource demand planning.  In addition, the Business Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the BU plan, supporting the Head of Insurance to develop the BU strategy and structure, and for the implementation of effective governance as required to manage progress against the BU plan and strategy. 

What you'll need:

A background of building a Business Unit. This is a key hire in a rapidly growing part of our fast moving business. You'll have led the Operations and BU activities for a Consulting Organisation in the past and will have looked after the following.

  • Business Operations experience across a BU or large portfolio (£30-40m+)
  • Business strategy and planning
  • Financial forecasting and modelling including scenario analysis
  • Resource demand forecasting and management
  • Business operations, process and governance
