Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

• Review business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Estimate testing effort and support delivery planning activities.

Functional Testing

• Execute manual testing of Salesforce applications and customisations.
• Validate standard Salesforce functionality and configured processes.
• Test custom Apex developments, Lightning Components, Flows, and integrations.
• Verify end-to-end business processes across multiple systems.
• Ensure all requirements are fully validated before release.

Integration Testing

• Test integrations between Salesforce and external applications.
• Validate data flows, API integrations, middleware, and third-party systems.
• Verify data accuracy, consistency, and error handling.
• Support system integration testing (SIT) activities.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Support business stakeholders during UAT execution.
• Support on the UAT test scripts and business scenarios.
• Assist users in defect identification and validation.
• Coordinate retesting and sign-off activities.

Defect Management

• Log, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis of identified issues.
• Work closely with Salesforce Developers and Administrators to resolve defects.
• Re-test fixes and validate successful resolution.
• Report defect trends and testing progress.

Regression Testing

• Maintain and execute regression test packs.
• Ensure new releases do not adversely impact existing functionality.
• Support release and deployment activities through regression validation.

Test Automation

• Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts where applicable.
• Utilise tools such as, Provar
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automated testing capabilities.

Environment & Release Support

• Participate in deployment readiness reviews.
• Validate pre-production and production releases.
• Support smoke testing following deployments.
• Work with Environment Managers and Release Managers to ensure test environment readiness.

Reporting & Governance

• Produce regular test status reports and JIRA.
• Provide clear visibility of testing progress, risks, and issues.
• Maintain testing documentation in line with organisational standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Salesforce Administrators.
• Collaborate with Salesforce Developers to resolve defects and technical issues.
• Support business users throughout testing cycles.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and blockers to project and delivery stakeholders.
• Escalate testing risks or quality concerns that may impact delivery timelines.
