We are delivering Dynamics 365 Customer Service solutions for a public sector client, extended with Power Pages, Power Automate and related Azure components.
The Automation Test Engineer will play an important role in helping the team deliver reliable, well-tested and maintainable solutions. You will develop and maintain technical test suites, use appropriate tooling and engineering approaches to design and execute tests, and support the team in identifying and reducing delivery risk.
You will work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Test Leads and client stakeholders to determine what needs to be tested, how it should be tested, and how test outcomes should be recorded, reported and used to improve quality.
You will take direction from the Test Lead and wider delivery leadership, but you will be expected to work independently on assigned test activities, challenge constructively where appropriate, and bring practical suggestions to improve test coverage, automation quality, continuous feedback and release confidence.
The role involves a significant element of working from home, but there will be periods where occasional travel and working on client sites is needed. The role must be UK based due to client IT and security restrictions.
We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer who can take a requirement or user story, understand what needs to be tested, and apply the right mix of technical testing, automation and exploratory testing to give the team confidence in the quality of what is being delivered.
You should be comfortable using engineering standards, automation frameworks and CI/CD practices to make testing more efficient and repeatable. You will be expected to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contribute to quality planning, and support the resolution of defects in a collaborative Agile delivery environment.
Depth in test automation, Dynamics 365/Power Platform delivery and CI/CD based quality assurance matters more to us than breadth across every testing tool. The right person will be hands-on, collaborative, quality-focused and comfortable working in a public sector delivery environment.
