The team you'll be working with:

The Network Technical Architect is responsible for the design, implementation and integrity of complex network solutions delivered by NTT DATA.

You will need to demonstrate a combination of deep technical understanding in wide area and datacentre networking, aligned with the consultancy skills required to guide and inspire customers and lead delivery teams.

You will analyse, develop, and recommend long-term strategic plans to ensure network capacity meets current and future requirements. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, you will create technical specifications and develop detailed design documents that align with business objectives and compliance standards.

Your day will include providing pre-sales technical support and helping to transition projects from presales to delivery. You will be integral in developing and managing proofs of concept (POCs), which involve setting up, delivering, and ensuring the successful completion of these initiatives.

On assigned engagements, you will own the proposed solutions, transitioning the build and implementation to delivery teams. Your responsibilities also include preparing executive summaries, documenting proposed technology solutions, and assisting in final client presentations, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design enterprise network architectures covering WAN, LAN, WLAN, SD‑WAN, cloud environment and datacentre networking.
  • Assist in the pre-sales process to ensure designs fulfil both customer requirements and operational efficiency goals.
  • Create and maintain design documentation for internal and external use.
  • Work within project teams as a technical lead on solution design, deployment, and support transition.
  • Work closely with remote delivery and operational teams within NTT.
  • Be an ongoing technical design authority for larger customers after go-live (TDA)
  • Act as a technical escalation point for major incidents.
  • Fulfil occasional out-of-hours responsibilities to support project delivery.
  • Consult with new and existing customers to deliver value-added technical and professional services such as capacity planning, security audits, performance optimisation, customer premises deployments and migrations.
  • Maintain technical competencies across a wide-ranging set of relevant technologies.
  • Employ soft skills to assist in creating a positive experience for the customer.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Current vendor certifications at a professional/expert level (e.g. CCNP / CCIE).
  • A deep understanding of network protocols, topologies, security, routing, switching, wireless networks, and IP addressing.
  • Broad product knowledge with an integrated understanding of technology.
  • Comfort owning, leading, and executing project deliverables, providing technical oversight and quality assurance to meet customer objectives and expectations.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing high-quality design documentation, from architectural level through to detailed design.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, and organisational skills.
  • Strong client engagement skills and solid technical consulting aptitude.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills, contributing to team success.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
