The team you'll be working with:

Lead Security Architect  

NTT DATA UK Security Practice seeks a Senior Security Architect (P4–P5) to lead enterprise level security architecture, drive strategic security design decisions, and deliver complex cloud and hybrid solutions for high value clients. You will translate business drivers into repeatable reference architectures, establish governance and standards, and mentor architecture teams to raise capability across the practice.

 

Candidates must be eligible for or holding UK SC clearance.

What you'll be doing:

Core Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of enterprise security architectures, reference models and standards for cloud, hybrid and on prem environments.

Define and enforce security architecture principles, patterns and governance to align security roadmaps with business strategy.

Architect and operationalise zero trust frameworks, identity/privilege models and advanced threat detection capabilities.

Design secure DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) security patterns; review CI/CD designs and automation security.

Lead cloud security architecture across AWS, Azure, GCP, including secure migration and platform hardening guidance.

Provide technical leadership for large transformation programmes; advise C level stakeholders and support presales solution design.

Mentor and grow security architecture capability: run architecture review boards, communities of practice and training initiatives.              

Evaluate emerging security technologies and vendor solutions; produce technical roadmaps and adoption recommendations.

 

Required Qualifications (Must have)

10+ years’ experience in information security with a strong architecture focus; minimum 5 years leading security architecture teams or major programmes.

Demonstrable experience designing enterprise security reference architectures for cloud & hybrid environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Expert knowledge of zero trust architecture, identity, threat detection, and IaC/DevSecOps security practices.

Enterprise architecture certification (TOGAF or equivalent) and security credential such as CISSP, SABSA preferred.        

Excellent executive communication; experience influencing technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced cloud architect certifications (AWS SA Pro, Azure SA Expert).

Proven track record in security transformation for large scale migrations.

Experience with governance frameworks (SABSA) and security architecture tooling.

Publications, whitepapers or thought leadership in security architecture.

 

Success Metrics (first 6–12 months)

Deliver at least one enterprise reference architecture and governance model adopted by target client(s).

Achieve target client satisfaction score for architecture engagements

Demonstrable improvement in architecture governance compliance and measurable team capability uplift (e.g., junior progression).

Contribute ≥1 technical innovation or vendor selection decision that reduces risk or cost.
