PKCS Certificate Analyst
As a Certificate/Crypto Analyst at NTT DATA UK, you will leverage your expertise in cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to design, implement, and maintain robust cryptographic solutions. This role ensures secure communications, data protection, and compliance with regulatory standards, while supporting clients in adopting cutting-edge cryptographic technologies, including quantum-safe solutions.ices.
What you'll be doing:
Key Responsibilities
- Cryptographic Solution Design and Implementation
- Design and implement cryptographic solutions for secure communications and data protection.
- Deploy and manage Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and key management systems.
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Management
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade PKI infrastructure.
- Manage Certificate Authorities (CAs), certificate lifecycle, and automation processes.
- Implement certificate-based authentication and digital signature solutions.
Certificate Lifecycle Management
- Develop and enforce certificate lifecycle management policies.
- Monitor certificate expiration and automate renewal workflows.
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain certificate inventory.
- Cryptographic Analysis and Assessment
- Perform cryptographic assessments and identify security weaknesses.
- Conduct key escrow and recovery procedures.
- Evaluate cryptographic products for compliance and security.
- Compliance and Standards Implementation
- Ensure cryptographic implementations meet regulatory standards (e.g., FIPS 140-2, GDPR).
- Conduct cryptographic audits and maintain policy documentation.
- Implement controls for PCI DSS, GDPR, and other frameworks.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and standards.
- Hands-on experience with PKI design, implementation, and certificate management.
- Proficiency in cryptographic hardware (HSMs) and APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud cryptographic services (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP KMS).
Professional Skills and Certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- CISSP (with cryptography domain expertise) or equivalent.
- Certified Encryption Specialist (EC-Council) preferred.
- Vendor-specific PKI/cryptography certifications advantageous.
- Must meet UK SC Clearance eligibility guidelines.
What experience you'll bring:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in cryptography, PKI, or information security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in cryptography or information security.
- Experience with certificate lifecycle automation tools.
- Familiarity with quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms.
Success Metrics (6–12 Months)
- Successful implementation of cryptographic solutions and PKI systems.
- Achieve 99.9% uptime for certificate management systems.
- Timely resolution of cryptographic incidents and certificate issues.
- Positive client feedback on cryptographic consulting services
